Love is WarThey say love is a battlefield of war.
We want someone special and nothing more
Feels like an endless chore.
Can we spot the difference
between the normal and the special
someone who can take us out our shell
And make our hearts feel like we've fallen to a spell

A battlefield where instead of blood
Tears fall like the rain
But it's pain so unlike the usual
when we find the perfect person

We all need someone to teach us how to love
someone who can give us mini heart-attacks
until our heart can't take enough

Ignore it's message I now can't
I hear the music of the song
My mind hearing it along

The song begins, sounds play
The words in my mind still stay
Listen closely, listen good

They come around, grab my soul
The words have reached their goal

The sounds play with my heart

The bittersweet joke of absolution,
Scrawled across staggered lines.
The thick black ink smirks and comforts,
In the most undefining way.

I find myself stumbling over,
Thick bold letters.
They wear the age so well,
as I have not.

I have turned to what they always were,
Black, as night, as heart, as nothing else,
I am blacker than the darkness I trudge through.
Seeking the punchline.

I'll stammer through the Igazu falls,
And regale the stars in my backyard of how the time has flown.

And starts to fix a broken self-esteem

it starts getting to your head

Before you can move forward.

Blame you for burning down paradise.
Incinerate your home.
And freeze in apathy.

Choking, Scraping, battling on my tongue.

The word clings to my tongue like molasses,
Struggling to drag itself out.
Clawing to keep itself away from the delicacy of the situation.

I can't tell you how these rushed advances,
Of half-baked romances,
Lousy dances,
Get me awkward glances.

Because I have a goal.
And all these things that you're suggesting,
I can't help it,
And I'm just testing,
My heart lay still and it's just resting.
But not with you, or you, or you, or you.

It's still on loan, that much is true.
And I can't say Yes.

But I won't say no.

I'll just vanish, and

Hush- Lines blurredPounding sound reverberates,

The Morrigan- Another Man left WaitingThe Morrigan, comes riding,

Back through the gates of my front door.
She smiles and then she simply stays a while.
Reminds me that to her I bore.

I simply cannot take much more,

Another heart been stricken down,
In battle's heat,
Coming home,

Whose lifting,
Drifting,
Glinting smile bids me a cool welcome.
She'll bide her time,

Breathe in.
Sidled, running down your arm,
Resting sweetly in your palm.
Pause.
Ready?

Calming hands caress you,
As judging eyes adorn your duty jacket.
Whipping lightly in the breeze.
Long coat tails, sit and stare,
The pistol aimed, through solid air,
It's down to you.
Just don't care.
For a second.

And it'll all be over.

The Sergeant,
Stares ahead.
Blankly.
The victim... no, that's not right.
The soldiers eyes,
Deer-caught-in-headlight eyes screaming.

Yelling, yearning,
Bleeding.

Can you pull the trigger?
Pull the trigger?
The trigger.

All that stands between you,
Innocence,
And glory.

The whizzing bang of gunfire makes the choice.
You trade yourself for glory.

The murderers glare.
